Coastal prairie vacation

We went for a short vacation on Bolivar Peninsula, a fairy ride across from Galveston.
I am up at six to do my exercise and watched the sunrise.

Blue Hill

Heath and I went to the most amazing restaurant a couple of months ago.... 

It's called Blue Hill at Stone Barns. I normally reserve all of my food posts for Eat Pure, but this deserves  to be shared :)

 It's a farm, about 40 minutes north of NYC. Everything is grown on the farm, so super fresh. 

They did 8 vegan courses for me, and they were so so so so good. 

We started with fresh baby vegetables.

And pea shoots, still in the dirt, which we would cut off with scissors and drag through oil with herbs. Very cool!

Shredded brussel sprouts on a cracker with some vinaigrette.

Grilled scallions and greens with a saffron sauce, which you would drag through nut shavings. This was my favorite!

And a parsnip steak served with greens and homemade cranberry ketchup.

Apple cannelle with chocolate sorbet.

There was so much more, these are just the highlights, but it was the best meal I've ever had. Heath did not have a vegan menu, but he agrees it was the best meal he'd ever had as well.

Visit - Olivier's project

Olivier has been working for a whole year on his diploma, juste like me last year with Ely's to go.
His project consists of a piece of furniture for travellers and hosts using Airbnb (if you want to host travellers for a few days, and you don't have a real room so you're offering a space in your living room etc...). His goal was to create a piece of furniture that can be used by the host when there is no travellers.

Sheng Zhen Gong - A Return to Oneness

Hi family,
Finally i am back in the blog.
Thanks Sarah for inviting me back in.
I was in Austin for 10 days of teacher training to teach Sheng Zhen Gong.  Sheng Zhen means "unconditional love".  I am so excited to be able to teach this art.  It is so beautiful and flowing and full of imageries and wisdom.  Master Li use to be the head coach for the Chinese International Wushu Team that won many gold medals. He use to train Jett Li and was very hard core.  Now he travels to seek teachers to share the art of "unconditional love".

Cinema Paradiso

Two days ago I went to the Grand Palais in Paris where a giant Drive-in was installed.

There was an exhibition about video games too (from the 70's to the future)

Of courses, there was a diner

I chose to go see Grease :) But there are plenty other movies like Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowsky, Drive,....

We had a lot of fun. You could sit in a car, theatre sofas, dackchairs or matresses.
