Villa Noailles

We went to Hyeres to la Villa Noailles.
It was built in the 20's by the architect Mallet Stevens for a rich couple.
It is now a museum and holds design exhibits.
It offers a wonderful view of Hyeres and the sea.

The ceiling of the Pink living-room

A chair created for the house

Can you imagine: a wall painted by Picasso!

The swimming pool was made into an exhibit room. They built a ground made of glass. It scared Rémi so much!

Jam !!!

Confiture de groseille, like my grand ma used to do.

Sky

My friend Marie took these pictures a few weeks ago with her iPhone, crazy sky huh ?

Competition: our veggies

See the carrots, aren't they so cute? And really tasteful!

Bio Pics

So you want tomatoes, well here they come :

and potatoes as well !

Oh and some giant zucchini, if you still can call these monsters that way (same story as in H&S gardening adventures, we left the house for a week ...)

I am going to ship my production to Ely's To Go, it's about time for me to make some money , forget about aprons and bags and all that stuff !

Let's be tourists for a day !

I didn't had much time to post because of my internship that ended yesterday, so I'm back now !!

I had a few pictures I wanted to share since last week, last saturday I spent the day in Paris and I felt like a tourist discovering places for the first time in 3 years !

This is what they call "Paris Plage", places where you can rest and tan near La Seine...
It's really nice but crowded ! So we just walked there in the late afternoon... much better !

(so many "Fatboys"(name of the ottoman), if you know these, you know how expensive it is !)

We paused at a place called Cru (=raw) where they only serve raw food. We had a plate of tomatoes and a plate of mozzarella. It was good ! And I can't wait to have my parent's tomatoes now !

Nice sunset, but much more beautiful in reality !

My first time inside the Pantheon !

And the fun car they keep changing every season at that store called Merci (beautiful but expensive place)
I think I posted a pictures a few month ago with the car covered with Liberty fabric...
Right now, the theme is Linen !

I liked this idea...

Holy garden!!!

Wow...yesterday I found these hiding in the chaos that is our garden.  Two huge watermelons and one cantaloupe.
And Heath made homemade pickles from our cucumbers!!!  Unfortunately, cucumber beetles took over the rest of the cucumbers and ox heart tomatoes.  So sad.  I had to take them all down.  Damn beetles!

This week in NYC...

Chelsea Market - a huge space with all kinds of food vendors, tea, groceries, candy, etc.  The upper floors of this building are used as the headquarters for Food Network.

A beautiful restaurant and bar in the Meatpacking District.
An art exhibit in the Flatiron District - sculptures just like the one below were placed on top of the buildings.  See  if you can spot them!

Central Park

Rufus Wainwright in Prospect Park in Brooklyn
Can you tell which TV series/movie this apartment is featured in???
The view from our hotel room...the window was dirty from all the rain...
