Tree Hugging Contest

Last week-end's playground was the Three Fountains Abbey near Eurville (AKA Bernard's Family Birthplace). Founded in 1118 by... Saint-Bernard de Clairvaux !

We go there almost every year, as a pilgrimage, there's a few trees there, as you can see...

This wonderful Magnolia welcomes you, wathever the season.

Its a place where you should normally meditate and hug peacefully...

But then, Golum (and his infamous daugther) were crawling around the ruins...

And there were trolls in the bushes...

But what else can you expect in these remote and long forgotten areas ???

okay family. i am on a new adventure. i'm looking to start a vegan (no animal products), eco-friendly line of shoes. i need to find a manufacturer that will make prototypes of my designs and then be able to produce large quantities of them for retail. i'm thinking about looking in vietnam. thien, chin, dung, truc in particular....any suggestions on how i might find these places? i am willing to travel there and research. i just don't know where to begin :)

our garden!!!

it's coming along...we planted cucumber, yellow watermelon, lavender, cilantro, basil, oregano, sweet peppers, tomatoes, tuberoses, arugula, broccoli & dill!!!

chi phuong - heath removed most of the grass and clovers with a shovel and put that in with the compost. then we added 3 bags of organic soil and mixed it all together (our plot is 4' x 10'). we left some of the clovers in with the mix to help add nitrogen to the soil. then we planted everything and watered like crazy.
