Spring Break

Last week was spring break in Columbus.  Owen went to work at a local sweatshop called Ely's To Go, so Isaac and I hung out, just the two of us.

Monday...COSI, a science center

IMAX movie all about the Great Lakes

We had to wear protective eyegear to make a 'Seltzer Rocket'

Isaac got to see a 'cloud' made

Tuesday...The dentist, followed by Dave + Busters (a game center) & SkyZone - trampoline world

No cavities!  And he gets to watch cartoons from a TV on the ceiling :)

Isaac hit the jackpot - 1000 tickets.

Isaac is the one in the red shirt doing the flip!

Wednesday...Franklin Park Conservatory

They have a butterfly exhibit with hundreds of butterflies.

And a glass blowing demonstration...Isaac loved it!

Here are the butterflies in their cocoons.

Thursday...we saw the movie 'Rango'...sorry, no pics.

Friday...bowling.

This is his 'Yessssssss' look.

And later that night, we got to see Owen, he was released from child labor.

Up!

How cool is this?  National Geographic has a new series called 'How Hard Can It Be?' and they decided to see if the Up house could really fly :)

The little boy from Up reminds me of Owen :)  'Good afternoon...' (watch the clip on the Up website!)

Silk screening and others

A few pics of things I've been making

Here is a picnic set
With silk screening of a fork, knife and spoon
These are pics from the store my mom and Martine sell their creations

Some note books I made with my friend Marie, we customized them with Masking Tape (japaneese tape)

And more... silk screening again

Paris

A few pics from Paris
It's been very sunny lately but still pretty cold...

Le Jardin des Plantes, very pretty in spring and summer

I had lunch at a place called "Oh mon Cake !"
Cakes, tarts, soups, sandwiches...

I had a Ricotta, peas and mint tart, a soup (next picture) and chestnut and apple cake
The best was the soup, you'll never guess what's in it !

Tomato and.... banana !!! Delicious

Then we went to la Mosquée de Paris, you can have a mint tea for 2€
Very nice
