I never understood the sport till now.
Yes, he plays on a tournament travel team. Little League is alot of fun too, the tournament team is more competitive.
I have so enjoyed listening to the cheers after an RBI, a double play and also witnessing the held back tears after the strike outs and the missed popped flies.
We started the season in February, windy and cold but no snow.
Is Owen in kid pitch ? Is Isacc in T-ball?

owen is in his 2nd year of kid pitch. (that first year of kid pitch was painful to watch!) he is going to try out for the travel team next year. they start practices in November for travel and that conflicts with hockey season but he's beyond the rec league level of play so we told him next year he could try and do travel. isaac did t-ball last year and we've decided that he's a daisy picker. he's doing tennis now and seems to have some talent and likes to play. owen loves every sport and isaac is the one who'd rather catch the butterflies.

How do the kids play in the winter?
tory is the smallest but the fastest kid on the team.
If he hits down third base or bunt, he can usually beat the throw to first. He is the lead off batter, then the power hitter sends him home.

Does any of this makes sense to anyone else?

It makes perfect sense to me, but I'm amazed to hear two mothers talk about power hitters, lead offs, double plays, etc.
