Art Around the City

Art around the city...

We spent the weekend in NYC and found lots of inspiration!

A poster in the East Village of Stephen Colbert

Richard Serra drawings at The Met

Van Gogh - so much paint on top of the canvas - globs of paint!

Courbet's rather large signature

Installation made of aluminum, wire, tin

Jackson Pollock

Jasper Johns

Lichtenstein

Beautiful old tin print

View from the rooftop of The Met

Spices and Teas at a flea market

And a quick snapshot from a stroll in Central Park

Really beautiful! The museum is so large and has so many amazing things, I can't wait to go back and explore when we have more time.

But...the Alexander McQueen exhibit had a 2 hour wait! We went just to see it but we didn't want to waste all of our time in a line, so we skipped it. We saw so many other incredible things! If we would have waited in line, we would have missed the rooftop as well. I'm glad we didn't, but I really wanted to see his exhibit.

There are so many things to see...so many places I wanted to take Laure and just didn't have the time. You'd have to have two weeks at least, to see everything!
