A few pics of our apartment in Chicago...the only thing missing is our guest bedroom. We have excess furniture in there right now to take to our apt in NYC this summer so it's a bit cluttered :)

ely's to go
Heath and I visited my parents a couple months ago and took some pics of their new space...
I posted the below pics and some info on how Ely's To Go is 'green' on Eat Pure...
A vegan diet is the most sustainable practice, but they also include this concept into every aspect of the business.

Almost all of the furniture came from Cleveland Art Supply, where they take discarded local industrial material and transform them into beautiful recycled pieces.

Sugar, salt and pepper jars are used instead of individual packets to reduce waste.
The utensils are made from biodegradable materials.
They also recycle and composte + buy local and organic.
And they even promote my blog :)
Belgium
Very long post for a great week end in Belgium, in the Flandres, with my class !
With started in a pretty place they call "Beguinage", there used to be religious persons living there, if I understood it right.
Sorry I forgot to turn that one, but I thought it was fun :) It's painted on the sidewalk !

A great restaurant we went for lunch (Brunch for 15€, as much as we want !)
I took the picture for Claire :)
A museum that opened yesterday actually, so we didn't get a chance to visit it, but some people were dancing to celebrate the opening.
Classic façades
Bricks are EVERYWHERE, I love it
And we ended with one of the most beautiful places I ever visited : the Grand Hornu, old manufacture for charcoal.
It got renovated and now hosts a museum and restaurant. It was a really great architecture of heritage and modernity.

IT was a big game . Mothers against their sons. Great way to celebrate mother's day. Tory and I then make "Compassionate Corn Cakes " after. It was delicious.
