South West Adventures

Last Week End we visited an amazing place called “Domaine de Bois buchet” located in the middle of Nowhere, really impressive and huge estate organizing workshops and exhibitions. The owner is the founder of Vitra, a famous furniture design company.

Lily had spotted an exhibition of “Boro”, ragged peasant clothes from Japan. Absolutely wonderful and perfectly in tune with the state of the castle (the place had been squatted for years and the rooms have not yet been renovated)

The visit includes lots of different subjects ; design , architecture and even an old Tea House brought from Japan.

We spent the night in a very nice B&B were we had already been 15 years ago:  The Logis de Boussac, near Cognac.  There was a very heavy thunder during the night, destroying many trees and leaving the country without power for almost two days
The heavy metal doors (electrically assisted) could not be opened, and the only way we could leave the place was through the Reception Hall where a wedding was organized.

Mr and Ms MEHAUD, the owners
Then we visited Talmont sur Gironde, very nice village overlooking the river with small fishermen's houses and flowers everywhere.
