Sarah,

this is an another idea : Clog , "chiếc guốc" .
Ask yours mothers ( Me Ba, Me Oanh, Me Ha,Ma Hai ) for this wood'shoes from Vietnam. In the market "Ben Thanh", you can buy all kind of this shoes with all kinds of woods. You choose the type of wood, the plastic on the top, with a hammer and nails, people make your shoes in 5 minutes.

These are all great ideas. I do need to research actual manufacturing plants as well. I would love to do faux leather shoes as well, boots and such. I will do my research and hopefully visit some places in January! Thanks for the ideas!!!

Sarah, what is faux leather made of?
Synthetic materials are usually from a petroleum product, such as plastic. If that is the case, will using petroleum product qualify as green for you?
Have fun and good luck!

Synthetic products produce so much less toxicity to the environment than tanning leather and the many processes leather has to go through.
