Last Monday was off, so we decided to hunt some villages in the Lozère Region. Jim and Oanh will certainly remember this area, where they got lost, fell short of gas (Trung's car!) in the middle of nowhere and got rescued by the local farmers...

The area is beautiful, but wild, not much to eat there |
We visited "La Couvertoirade", headquarters of the Templars |
It's kind of a small Carcassonne |
Stone roofs are just amazing |
We took some side roads, then up in the distance,
we saw the most improbable creature coming ahead |
A Road Runner ? |
Turned out this was actually a human, who seemed quite happy
to meet us after rolling some 60 miles without a soul in view |
So we chatted and exhanged emails, promising to send him some pictures, and then we found out the guy's name was David Nguyen Van Nghiem ! His father is Vietnamese and came in france during the war..
This is definitely a small world ! |

La sixième photo est tellement malickienne !
What does that mean?
I still remember the people and the house we stay while waiting for the tire to get fixed!
That was soon long ago.
This guy is amazing, he rides for miles around France
Terrence Malick in a film director, tree of life for example
Great pics :)
thanks, laure.
Amazing how many beautiful places are nearby in France. Not quite the same in the midwest :)
