On july the 13th, you have the famous "Bal des pompiers" (firemen bal) and you have parties all around Paris in the the firehalls.
We got the chance to see this !
It's very impressive how fast they go ! And how high too (2m20)

Are they real firemen? There must not be many fires in Paris...they spend all their time doing gymnastics :)
yes, they are real firemen !! of course they are, but I do agree with your point of view about fires in Paris :)
