Christmas in Paris

This year, Santa brought us a lot of presents again.
We had a wonderful diner at Martine's

Melville was very happy

Our "new" cousin Erica came too. She's from Orange County and studies in London. She's staying at my place until after new year's eve. We are getting along so well.

We went to Merci, as usual

They sell those beautiful stars. 300€ for the small one 400€ for the big one. You know what to get for Claire's next Christmas :)

Erica and I went on a ride on the big wheel

Bad picture but this is the view from the top : the Champs Elysées.

And last night, we went to see the lights and windows at the Galeries Lafayette

Amsterdam

I just went to Amsterdam with some of my friends for 3 days. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a little, but not as much as it was supposed to, and it wasn't too cold either.

It's really pretty, very touristic but very nice.

They have bikes EVERYWHERE, and they're dangerous !!!

They have cheese everywhere too, and it's really really good. Pesto cheese, pepper cheese, cumin, herbs, garlic, smoked...... you can taste everything.

They have those waffles with whipped cream and chocolate and strawberries. Couldn't try, it's too much, but I had a very good simple waffle.

They even have a vegan café !

Their houses are all bent, it's really weird

A trip to Paris and Disney

Santa Claus came early at the Valette's: we got to go to Disney and Paris last week!

We were lucky because of the poor weather there wasn't many people in Disneyland Paris so we didn't have to wait for long to enjoy the animations

Antoine made 3 wishes

And we rode with Cars

The kids ate with Dingo

Who's having more fun???

Laure, Renaud and Gabi joined us on Friday

After all that Disney fun we took the kids to some serious museums...
An exhibition about Samouraï

And some old bones...

Gabi and I planing some more museum trips (not really, we were of course planing some shopping!)

And we got to celebrate Xmas a bit early at Renaud and Gabi's because we will be in Montpellier

Some fun but tiring 4 days in Paris....

Merry Christmas - We Are Recycled Stardust

I was inspired by this quote by a quantum physicist that said, "we are recycled stardust", so live, love and be happy!

Love you all and Merry Christmas!

MOOREA Pics

So we finally made it to Polynesia. After all it's only a 23 hours flight from Paris... But definitely worth it. We had a great week, the Tran family gave us a 6 stars treatment. We had our own house on the beach, a 4x4 to explore the island, they took us to great spots and restaurants... Memorable !

A visit at the Papeete Market, before taking the ferry to Moorea

A view of the place with two houses (we slept in the wooden one)

Their new house is more modern

The view from our balcony
Flowers everywhere

This is the place where they pratice meditation and tai chi
But we practiced kayak instead...

Erwann (Nha Thi's son, 2 yrs) feeding fishes in front of the house
And playing with the Ipad (very convenient in a restaurant)
Carla - My Lan : so shy I'coulndt get a proper picture of her...
