New Immigrants to Youngstown

Thought you all might like see Ely being honored recently at a local event focusing on New Women Immigrants to our area. The event was held at a local museum of history and featured about 18 women of various origins. Each woman had photos exhibited and a brief history of their arrival to the area and their life now. It was a nice event.

Last Saturday Claire, Antoine and his friend Mateo decided to have some fun, while Loic is'nt around !

Birthday present

Last night was my friend Lisiane's birthday. We made her a book like those books for kids where you can change the fore head, the eyes and nose and the mouth. She can mix our faces ! It's so fun to make !

Flash mob !!

The group called the Tistics (I posted about them, they translate classics into french) organized a flashmob this afternoon !

It was a lot of fun, I'm the one with the red checked shirt, a friend of mine filmed for me, notice the guy on his scooter passing by !

91st St Garden

We're spending the weekend in NYC and I thought I'd share a few pics.

The 91st Street Garden is a beautiful garden in Riverside Park (it's in the movie You've Got Mail). We walked there yesterday morning...

There are so many different kinds of flowers, I would call it organized chaos. It's so overgrown, yet there is some organization to it all. It's absolutely beautiful.

There was a race going on in the park, and people doing yoga and push ups with their trainers, New Yorkers are serious about working out!

And we met our good friend John in Hoboken, New Jersey. The view of the city is spectacular!

The Roses are up for a trip to France next summer. Anytime during the last 2 weeks of July would work out best for us. Is anyone else available?

McKenzie just turned 16 and for his party he requested a drug-free rave. 

So we found a large open barn type building...
