Printing

Last night was the exhibition of my silkscreening class.
On the lower floor is a printing class that we got a chance to visit with my dad and Martine.
An old printing factory closed a few years ago and the owner came and gave everything away.

Here are a few pictures for your eyes :)

Models

I've been working on models for the last 3 weeks to help the future graduates. They had their orals between monday and wednesday and all received it !

It's been 3 really long and tiring weeks. Huge models with loads of details...

A bowling/bar/restaurant project

100 chairs, 50 tables, 8 billiard tables, 75 low tables, 170 couches.....

But in the end, it was so worth it ! Beautiful model..

Monumenta

I don't know if you've heard of the exhibit that happen once a year in the Grand Palais in Paris called Monumenta.
This year, this year, Anish Kapoor created something really impressing inside the Grand Palais.
I had no idea of what I was about to see, and it was incredible, sorry the pictures are bad, taken with a friend's camera.
I can't show you the inside of it, it was in the dark, but I'm sure you can find better pics on the internet.

I'm sure I won't be able to describe it well but it was like HUGE balloons made of Ferrari wire, all blown, and you can visit the inside before seeing the outside. You enter a really dark place and you lose all sense of space and shapes. There is a little red color coming from the sunlight through the fabric but it's really hard to really understand the shapes of the volume you are in.

Summer bike ride

Heath + I took a bike ride last weekend to the lake...it's so beautiful in Chicago when the weather is nice.

There was a market I really wanted to visit...it's called Dose and it's only once a month. It features all kinds of local vendors, from food to furniture to clothes.

All different kinds of hot sauce...

Maple syrup...

Speakers made from old suitcases...

Jams...

Terrariums...

Stationery...

Vintage clothes...

Owen + Aurelie

It's a little blurry, but you can see Owen in all of his hockey uniform with Aurelie :)

A day in Aix en Provence

This weekend, a lovely home & garden furnishing exhibition is held in Aix en Provence, a good excuse to spend a lovely day in this wonderful city.

My mum fell in love with this huge furniture. Too long to fit in their home.

An outside kitchen!
