Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago

This weekend, my parents + Aurelie ventured to Chicago.  We ate and ate and ate.  And in between meals, we did some sightseeing...

First the antique market in our neighborhood.

This little food stand blew us away...their packaging, the food, everything was spot on.

And it's all veggie!

Cucumber Lemonade

Millennium Park

 Navy Pier

And finally grilled corn...

Trip to Turks

Heath and I made our annual trip to Turks + Caicos last week and as always had the most amazing time.  This year we were also celebrating my 30th birthday so it was extra special :)
Here are some of our pictures, you can see the extended version here.

On our first night, they were having their weekly BBQ where they play movies on a huge screen outside.  Heath and I had a great view from the hot tub :)

It storms in Provo daily, but it quickly passes by.  The colors are so beautiful when the clouds roll in.

I have actual proof that Heath does relax.

Last year we visited Amanyara, a crazy beautiful hotel on the island, and went back again this year.  I was first drawn to them because they have a half omnivore/half vegetarian menu, and when I saw the pictures I knew we had to visit.

It is by far one of the most beautiful places I could ever imagine.  It's a very secluded resort, completely off the beaten path.

We also ventured to another part of the island called Chalk Sound or Sopadilla Bay.  The water is such a unique color, much lighter than Grace Bay.  The pictures just don't capture how vibrant the color really is.

We took a boat over to another island called Parrot Cay one morning.  It takes about 30 minutes to get there from Provo.

The beach there has a very Hamptons feel to it, aside from the water color :)

Yes We (Tos)Can

So the Bernards are back for the 2011 " 7 villages a day contest"
Easy go when you are in Tuscany, Chianti and Italy in general !

We spent 5 days there with Martine and here are some pics to prove it

I guess Heath and Sarah would love that Fiat 500, certainly an improvement over their current Smart car !!

A view from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, overlooking the Arno river
And the hills above, with some incredible houses in a gorgeous landscape

A view from the Albergo Vignamagna, a wonderful place where Kenneth Brannagh filmed "much Ado About Nothin in 1991). We stayed there 2 nights, highly recommended !

The famous San Giminiano Towers, a small Manhattan in the middle of Tuscany

Amazing vegetables

Trees growing on top of towers

Beautiful colors and forms. Carved Villages (the Cinqueterre)
